Marise Rowell - My Resume

Please note, programs and communities are not psychotherapy but can be an excellent supplement to psychotherapy.

Hi! Thank you for your interest in my practice and considering working with me and my team! I hold a Master of Arts in Speech Communication with an emphasis in Training & Development, and a Master of Science in Counseling with an emphasis in Marriage and Family. I am also a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the State of Montana, and hoping soon to include Wyoming, Idaho, and Florida.  After 15 years in business management and a wealth of life-experience, I knew I wanted to transition into the Helping Profession out of a heart to help others heal.

In addition to my degrees, I’m also on my advanced track to become an SEP, or 'Somatic Experiencing Practitioner,' and I’m a Polyvagal Informed Therapist. I also use Polyvagal theory in my Collective Healing Communities & Programs. I'm also a Registered Yoga Teacher-200 Hours, and by early May 2023 will become a Certified Grief Yoga Instructor. Admittedly, I still need to complete my Curvy Yoga certification, which will happen eventually, LOL! Finally, I'm a Grief Recovery Method Specialist offering both individual and group programs. My foundational approach to therapy is from Gestalt philosophies and practices, as well as Somatic Psychology with its Gestalt roots.

My past experience includes working with individuals of various ages, couples, and groups to explore what may be holding them back and find ways to navigate and sustain wanted change. I also have prior involvement in dance of the traditional ballet, tap, and jazz kinds, along with participation as an instructor and choreographer.

My mission is to help people and communities release emotional struggle by transforming pain into power so that you can charge forward with that new empowerment in pursuit of love, growth, and healthy life transitions.

Psychotherapy Intake Appointment

The best way to start is with an intake appointment. Schedule below to request a specific time, and I will email you to confirm the paperwork to get you started. The email will come from Therapy Portal where you can log in to create what's called your client portal. Please call, text, or email me if you have any questions.

Your intake appointment will allow us to discuss your needs, whether my scope of practice is appropriate, and whether we both feel we're a good fit and want to work together. If you or I decide my experience and training are not what is best for you and your needs, or if we have what's called a dual-relationship, or for any other reason it isn't a good fit, I will help you find appropriate referrals. Please note that these referrals may have a wait list before you can be seen.

Intakes are billed at standard billable rates, and if you are without health insurance, contact me to discuss private pay and cost-sharing-based community and program options.

Email me, or request an appointment below. You are taking a huge step for yourself, and I look forward to meeting you and helping you experience change!

Please note, to protect your confidentiality, my email is HIPAA compliant and will require you to create and save a password for us to communicate about confidential info through email.
